THE ART OF DA’WAH PART 5
At this time, if you know you are on the right track, the love of good deeds will increase. Every time someone invites you to good deeds, you will run towards them because you are acutely aware that you may not be alive tomorrow. When you start doing that, and start enjoying your good deeds, you are cultivating the quality of the believer. You will enjoy and enjoin what is right. If you do not perform good deeds, and feel imbalanced and your daily routine feels empty.
At this moment insha Allah, the door will open wider, and the more the door opens, the humbler you have to be. At this point, many people fail because they give themselves credit. The more Allah opens for you, the more you should be humble to Allah and deny your own abilities.
Your sincerity is key. Call Allah to make you the guider of mankind and creation, and to make us the cause of spreading goodness and light, peace and tranquillity and to make us the inviter of Him and His qualities. This journey will continue, and the more it increases so should your zikr and self assessment.
Remember the incident of Ta’if, where the Prophet SAW was tricked into giving da’wah to the residents, only to be driven out by children and madmen who threw stones at him. After he was so grossly wronged, the various angels offered to destroy the wrongdoers. Yet, he responded by raising his hands to Allah, complaining to Allah about his own weakness, and asking for the people of Ta’if to be forgiven because they were ignorant. He then made the famous du’a for their seeds to be of people who would spread the deen.
The word of Allah has different levels, actions and sequences. If we do not do it correctly we will be committing mischief to ourselves and others. The ignorant Muslims, not the non-Muslims, are the worst enemies of Islam. If you want to perform da’wah, behave like a Muslim from your very core, and spread the right manner.
If you want to know the detail, have the means or wisdom, call Allah, because He is the one who will accept you. He is your ultimate boss, not your group, sheikh or sect. Do not allow yourself to be manipulated into becoming the tools of division or deception in the hands of others who call themselves Muslims.
Da’wah belongs to Allah, and the more we believe in Allah and the message, the more we will experience the love and agony of sacrifice, and the more we believe in Paradise, the more we will work for Allah and the closer we will get to Allah. In His hands lie the results.
